Kissing in the Rain

Never have I experienced a more perfect moment
Than the one you and I did share
Beneath the blackened sky, people here and there
You kissed me while the rain poured through my hair
You held me closer than ever
I didn’t want to let you go
It was the first time in a long time
You let your feelings for me show
We kissed passionately and deeply
While the rain poured down our face
My head felt light
My heart was at a full blown race
My finger slid through your soaking hair
My tears mixed well with the rain
For the first time in weeks
Being with you, I felt no pain
Your fingers traced my back
Up and down they did crawl
I held on to you tightly
For fear that I may fall
When we pulled from each other’s grasp
Words we did not share
We knew what each other was thinking
And we both knew that each other cared
So instead of words, we walked hand in hand
And let the rain wash worries away
Sooner or later we’d figure things out
But tonight we just let the moment play
