BLACK

Lightless eyes,
Lameness in sight.
Born for a dark cause?
Forever do they dream dark?
Or do they sleep in black?

Lightless eyes,
What is thy sin?
For neither seen you have
The creators of concious life,
Nor the playmates of youthful nature.

Lightless eyes,
Forbidden from the meaning of beauty,
And teased for trusting reality.
Frail are the eyes for the future,
And sound are the ears to the past.

Lightless eyes,
Though heard you have the truth of the sages
Crossed, you have not the ignorant ages,
Yet, through the dark lanes of your sight
Seen you have the invisible time of ravages.

P.S: This poem is dedicated to the blind who have eyes not to see but to shed tears. This is by the inspiration of the movie "BLACK" by Mr. Sanjay Leela Banshali.
